I spent the past weekend with many cool people in Ashbourne, England. You may rightly ask yourself: How does this have anything to do with the idea of missions in Japan?
Good question! The answer is simple: Through the internationally represented mission organization “Pioneers” I spontaneously got the opportunity to participate in the program “Mission Next”, which was hosted by Pioneers UK. And of course I did not miss out on that!
A program that not only presents and explains the work and core values of Pioneers, among other things, but also deals with mission preparation topics, teamwork, and most of all, God’s infinite grace, which we depend on not only on the mission field!
Since the whole thing took place very close to the beautiful Peak District National Park, I was able to combine business and pleasure, and to admire God’s creation not only during the climb of a “mountain” (officially not a mountain, but the climb definitely made it feel like one!).
It was also a precious experience to meet like-minded people and make friends with people who, like me, wish to bring the Good News to the unreached peoples of the world.
In conclusion, it can definitely be said that the past weekend was a complete success both spiritually and personally. Praise the Lord!
